SNC may provide or distribute certain lists and statistical reports of regulatory information as provided by law, but no personal information is sold or distributed, and all relevant legal protections still apply to SNC’s websites.
What Happens to Information You Submit to Us
If you choose to submit information to us, the information will be transmitted through secure lines to our departmental database. Any private information will only be used for the purposes for which it was provided and will not be shared with another entity except as prescribed by law. Subscriptions
SNC uses GovDelivery to assist with managing SNC’s email subscription lists. The GovDelivery service allows SNC to retain the names and email addresses of our email subscribers, as well as other information subscribers may have shared with us (e.g., affiliation and county of residence), logs of emails we send, and automatically generated email data used to improve our email communications. You can read the privacy policy for GovDelivery to understand how they use your information independent of SNC.
Google Analytics – Usage Data
SNC uses a tool called Google Analytics™ to collect information about use of this site. Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit this site, what pages they visit when they do so, and what other sites they used prior to coming to this site. We use the information from Google Analytics only to improve this site. Google Analytics collects only the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit this site, rather than your name or other identifying information. We do not combine the information collected using Google Analytics with personal identifiable information. Although Google Analytics plants a Persistent Cookie on your web browser to identify you as a unique user the next time you visit this site, the cookie cannot be used by anyone but Google. However, once you voluntarily submit personal identifiable information to us related to your use of this website, its dissemination is governed by the Public Records Act, the Information Practices Act of 1977, and other applicable laws and regulations. For this reason, part or all of the information you send us may be provided to a member of the public in response to a public records request. There are types of information, such as credit card numbers, TIN, username, or password that are exempt from disclosure by the Information Practices Act.
Information that you submit voluntarily through third-party social media sites where such sites are associated with SNC, such as SNC’s X account, and when such information is publicly available, including your name, city, town, and the substance of anything that you post may be disseminated further by being posted online at this website or be publicly discussed by a member of this Department.
