In his role with the Sierra Nevada Conservancy, Zephyr creates short films, animations, graphics, and other media materials for outreach needs. His work focuses on educating the public about scientific topics by translating complicated ideas into simple, easy to understand formats. He can often be found editing videos, filming interviews with agency partners, capturing B-Roll footage, or attempting some new technique to achieve a creative goal.

Zephyr grew up in Meadow Vista, a small town in the heart of the foothills with the Sierra Nevada Region as his backyard and home away from home. A deep love of stories inspired him to study communication at Sacramento State University. He recently graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies. Zephyr has also studied filmmaking, visual communication, and journalism.

In his free time, Zephyr greatly enjoys writing, producing, and directing his own indie short films with his friends (whether his friends enjoy it as well remains a mystery.) He also likes photography and spontaneous outdoor adventures in the mountains of the Sierra Nevada.
