September 25, 2010 – Thousands of Volunteers Pitch in for 2nd Annual Great Sierra River Cleanup

On September 25, 2010 more than 4,000 volunteers joined together to remove approximately 141 tons of trash and recyclables from rivers throughout the Sierra Nevada as part of the second annual Great Sierra River Cleanup. The Sierra Nevada Conservancy would like to thank all of the volunteers and partners that made this year’s Great Sierra River Cleanup such a huge success! Here is the final data:
